His ministry passion is "to teach the Word of God
with clarity and power, and to lead the church to live
by that Word."
Phil's highest priority and deepest personal joy is his
family: Cindi his wife to whom he's been married since
1978, and his two daughters, Rachel and Sarah. He
also enjoys trout fishing, watching movies with his wife,
and reading books.
Content
The following questions will be examined in detail by Phil
Thorne, then interacted on in small groups.
- Why am I so tired, and what does God want me to
do about it?
- Why do I feel a "disconnect" between my everyday
work and the work of God?
- Does what I do from 9- 5 have anything to do with
God's call on my life?
- What did God have in mind when He created this
thing called marriage?
- Can you give me some help making my marriage
what God designed it to be?

Scriptural Focus
But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them, "You know that those who
are considered rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones
exercise authority over them. "Yet it shall not be so among you; but
whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. "And
whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. "For even the
Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom
for many." (Mark 10:42-45 NKJV)
