Our Leadership Team
The leadership team at CBMC is dedicated to guiding the organization toward its mission of connecting and equipping business and professional men. Our leadership team brings a wealth of experience in ministry, business, and leadership development.
Our History
1930
CBMC was founded in Chicago, IL with a vision to connect businessmen to Christ and equip them for discipleship.
1938
CBMC expanded its reach to 12 cities across the United States, establishing a strong presence in the marketplace.
1987
Global growth leads CBMC to officially launched its international ministry, extending its impact to 6 countries worldwide.
1973
CBMC launched Operation Timothy; a three book discipleship tool for life-on-life discipleship to help men grow and mature in their faith.
2014
CBMC introduced the Marketplace Ambassador Advancement System, a digital tool designed to simplify life-on-life discipleship and connect men for spiritual growth. This platform would receive a “mobile friendly” redesign and renamed CBMC Advance in 2024.
CBMC USA is part of a global movement, partnering with marketplace leaders through CBMC International, which spans more than 90 countries worldwide.
Our Statement of Faith
The Authority of Scripture
We believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testament as verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
The Trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The Deity and Humanity of Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man.
The Fall of Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and are sinners in thought, word and deed.
The Atonement
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.
The Resurrection and Ascension of Christ
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate.
The Second Coming of Christ
We believe in “That blessed hope”, the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Salvation and Security
We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. Further, we believe in the eternal security of the believer.
The Resurrection and Judgement
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
